Richard Hollins Shelton, husband of Frances Skinner Shelton, has passed away.
He was the son of the late Frank A. Jr. and Loula Hollins Shelton.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sara Lewis Bagby and Anne Elizabeth Sclater; five brothers, G.
Linwood, Eugene Duke, William Randolph, Frank A. III, and Garnet Bowden Shelton.
He is survived by three sons and their wives; Edwin and Laurel, Marshal and Diane, and Carlton and
Christina; six grandchildren, Ian, Graham, Brendan, Meredith, Nicole, and Parker; sister-in-laws, Catherine
"Kitty" Smith Shelton and Frances Stebbins Shelton; a number of nieces and nephews all of which he
deeply loved and cherished; and a special friend, neighbor, and caregiver, Linda Woodcock.
Interment will be on Friday, November 21 in the Shelton Family Cemetary, Cub Creek Road, Bumpass
at 9 p.m.
A memorial service will follow at noon at Lakeside Baptist Church with a reception to follow. Memorial
contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church 7401 Woodman Road, Richmond VA 23228, or
Salem Christian Church, 4023 Paynes Mill Road, Bumpass, VA 23024.
