Ruth Sharpe Grant, 89, of Apple Grove, VA went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at HEnrico Doctors Hospitals, Forrest . She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis Edward Grant; her three sons, Tucker, Roger and Kenneth; and her grandson, Keith. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Eichost, Jean Sterling and husband Russell, and Joyce Thacker and husband Pete; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her devoted daughter-in-law, Janice Grant, also Betty and Carolyn; and her sister, Elsie Loving. Her remains rest at the Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in South Anna Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Ruth was a trustee of South Anna Baptist Church, where she devoted her life to her church, family and community.
