CREED, Laura B., 78, of Louisa, died Thursday, February 26, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Owen and Nannie Molly Craven; her brother, Clarence Craven; and five sisters, Maggie, Evelyn, Louise, Claire and Lorine. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Creed; her children, Laura M. Strong, Betty L. Wolfe, Ann J. Lane, Peggy L. Fortune, Rose E. Dematteo, David A. Creed, Irene N. Lane, Richard J. Creed and Shirley J. Sanders; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and two sisters. Her remains rest at the Lacy Funeral Home, Rte. 522, Mineral, Va., where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone, Va. Online guestbook available at www.lacyfh.com.
