SFC. Thomas E. Drake, 74, of Colonial Heights, passed away October 16, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Marie Drake. He is also survived by his children, Theresa Painter (Jerry) of Chesterfield, VA, Vanessa Hovater (Darin) of Florida, Ray Drake (Marsha) of Alabama, Dana Glass (Brian) of Arizona, and Susan Johnson (Rob) of Midlothian, VA. He was the proud grandfather of 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He leaves behind many devoted family members in Eastern Kentucky, where he was born and raised. He served his country for 22 years in the United States Army before retiring in Virginia. The family will receive friends at their residence in Colonial Heights, VA from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 and again Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Holly Grove Christian Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Holly Grove Christian Church with Rev.
