Nathan Abraham Kemp, 85, of Bumpass, VA went to be with the Lord and his granddaughter; Shawna Kemp on November 19, 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carrie Henshaw Kemp; son, Alvin Kemp and his friend Peggy; daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Rick Compton; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Brenda Kemp; brothers Asa and Leland Kemp; grandchildren, AJ, Travis and Kelsey Kemp, Patrick and Jonathan Compton and Jesse Brumbaugh.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22nd at Lacy Funeral Home, Mineral, VA. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 23rd at Bethany Christian Church; following the service the body will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, VA.
The family would like to extend a special thanks for the excellent care our dad received from Henrico Doctors Hospital and the rehab at Laurels of University Park. An extra special thanks to Dr. Virat V. Bakhshi for his loving care given to dad over the years.
