Barbara Borgatta Wallace, 55, of Mineral, passed away, Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2009, surrounded by family and freinds after a 5 year battle with breast cancer.
Mrs. Wallace taught Italian at University of Richmond, VCU, and sometimes The University of Virginia.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years: Michael, her parents: William J. and Joan Borgatta, of Willmington, NC, brothers: Charles and wife Eileen of Lindhurst, NY, William A. and wife Kathy Nelson of Levitown, NY, sister: Joan Marie & husband David Webster of Austin, TX; aunts: Helen Vogle of Chicago, Ill, Irene Bober of Elizabeth, N.J., 3 nieces and 1 nephew, numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice in Richmond.
A Celebration of life will be held 3:00- 5:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Lacy Funeral Home, Mineral.
Lacy Funeral Home, is in charge of the arrangements.
