James Blair Dunn III, Born on September 14, 1971 and son of James B. Dunn Jr. and Wanda Blevins Dunn of Inez, VA passed away heroically Saturday, March 20, 2010. He leaves two children; James B. Dunn IV of Chesterfield, VA and Evelyn Francis Cheek-Dunn of Henrico, VA, a sister; Mica D. Dunn of Richmond and a brother Hailey B. Dunn also of Inez, VA. His paternal grandparents are James B. Dunn Sr. and the late Virginia Davis Dunn of Montpelier, VA. His maternal Grandparents are the late Glen Donald Blevins of Yucca Valley, CA and the late Lindy Hicks Blevins of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by a very special great aunt, Nancy H. Harris and her son Brad, formerly of Beaverdam, VA, three aunts; Patricia D. Bienlien, Beverly D. Borden and Dolores D. Dunn, two uncles; Lynwood F. Dunn and the late Duke O. Blevins. Blair leaves behind many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. He was a very spiritual person, a loving father, son, brother, loyal friend and a soldier at heart. He shall be missed by all whose hearts he has touched.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Lacy Funeral Home, Rt. 522, Mineral, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Dunn Family Cemetery in Bumpass.
