To the Henshaw family, I played softball with Richard and against him for about 10 years. What a competitor he was. A very skilled player too. I like many others will miss him so much.

Dearest Joann, words cannot express what you, Richard & family meant to all of us-the Fleming family. You two was truly a blessing to mom. We hope to see you soon, mom has been very sick and has been admitted back to the hospital again today. We have all of you in our prayers and will always be thinking of you. Dear Jo-Anne, Keith, Wanda, and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Richard and I went to school together, and Mr. Henshaw and my father were good friends. I regret that I didn't know Richard very well as an adult, since we lived so close-by. (I moved back here in 1995.) I had the pleasure of playing softball with Richard for several years. I looked forward to greeting Richard at the ballpark. What a powerful handshake, you could just feel his sincerity and friendship.

Jo-Anne & family, I worked at CX Press Trucking & Trailer Repair and then for QDSI. Richard was always such a patient and caring person, always concerned about others. A very good man! A driver that I dated used to play ball with Richard and I would go and watch the games and sometimes keep score for them. I was sorry to hear of Richard's passing, but I know he is at peace now.
